In the large pool 1 adult can bring 2 children aged 4-7yrs or 1 child under 4yrs. In the small pool 1 adult can bring 3 children aged 4-7yrs, or 1 child aged 4-7rs and 1 child under 4yrs, or 2 children aged under 4yrs. For more information on admissions criteria, and the definition of an adult please click here.

Why can't snorkels, masks and flippers be worn in the pool during public swim sessions?

Snorkels, masks and fins can present several issues during public sessions, particularly when busy. Snorkels allow the user to breathe while face down making it difficult for the pool staff to see if a user is in difficulty. It is also possible that snorkels can catch other swimmers in the face. For these reasons, use is limited to scheduled sessions, like underwater hockey, where trained sub-aqua coaches are present.

Do you have swimming lessons available for children?

There are a number of swimming lesson providers available at OHLC. Lessons are available from pre-school up to school age, beyond lessons there are also clubs for continued training. You can read all about these here.

Do you do female only swim sessions?

We don’t currently offer female only swim sessions. If this is something you think we should provide, please let us know by emailing feedback@ohlc.co.uk.
