Gym etiquette

We want to ensure all our members and guests have the best gym experience possible. Please make sure you check out our gym rules that we expect all our members and guests to follow.

By visiting our centre, you are agreeing to the following rules

Wipe down equipment after you're done

In the interest of everyone’s cleanliness and hygiene, please wipe down equipment after use. We provide anti-bacterial spray and disposible roll in the gym.

Suitable workout gear must be worn

Clothing such as work gear, jeans, flip flops, or boot are not permitted. Anyone not wearing suitable gym clothing may be asked to leave.

Don't drop the weights

Please do not misuse or drop the weights as it causes damage to the weights.

Please put your weights and equipment back

This should go without saying but it's the most broken rule in the gym. If you find a weight somehwere it shouldn't be, please put it back in the right place.

Personal belongings must be kept in a locker

For safety reasons bags are not permitted on the gym floor, on poolside or in the sauna steam area. Members are asked to only use the lockers for the duration of their training session. Lockers will be emptied at night and members items removed to lost property. Padlocks may be broken to gain access and will not be replaced by OHLC.

Members are responsible for their personal property at all times, OHLC does not hold any responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items. Lost property is held for a maximum of 1 month.

No body-shaming!

Our gym should be a safe space for people of any shape, size or ability to workout. Many new members feel self-conscious. It's never OK to make someone feel bad about who they are and how they look. Being body positive is knowing that every body is different.

We want all our members to enjoy their visit. Please be respecful of all others using the facilities.

Any conduct or speech that might be considered racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory will not be tolerated. If you experience or witness any form of discrimination or abuse please report it to a member of the team.

Aggressive, abusive or anti-social behaviour

You must not behave in an aggressive, abusive, anti-social or threatening manner to any staff or customer. Any one doing so will have their membership terminated immediately and we reserve the right to contact the Police if deemed necessary.

Being under the influence

You may not use the gym whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, tranquilizers or any medication or other substance which may affect your ability to exercise safely. OHLC reserves the right to remove you from the premises if we reasonably believe you are unfit to use the facilities.

Smoking or vaping

Put litter in the bin – no one wants a messy gym floor.
