National Pool Lifeguard Qualification - Generation 9

The NPLQ is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and is also internationally recognised. RLSS UK is regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA in Northern Ireland.

Lifeguard Course Prerequisites

Every candidate attending a NPLQ course must be 16-years-old at the time of taking the NPLQ final assessment and be able to:

• Jump/dive into deep water
• Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
• Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
• Tread water for 30 seconds
• Surface dive to the floor of the pool
• Be able to work as part of a team.
• Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits

• Mon 15th Aug - 09:00-17:30
• Tue 16th Aug - 09:00-17:30
• Wed 17th Aug - 09:00-17:30
• Thu 18th Aug - 09:00-17:30
• Fri 19th Aug - 09:00-13:30
• Assessment - Fri 19th Aug - 14:00-18:00

• £240.00 per candidate

If successfully appointed, we are offering a payback scheme on course fees. If you successfully complete your 3 month probationary review, and we keep you on the team, we will refund the cost of the course.
