Drowning Prevention Week - June 2022
Drowning Prevention Week is a campaign by The Royal Life Saving Society which aims to equip everybody across the UK and Ireland with the skills and knowledge, to make the right decisions about water safety. This is something we feel very strongly about and are pleased to support the campaign again in 2022.
Free Water Safety Fun Sessions
We're holding fun and free water safety sessions in partnership with Max Johnston Swimming.
The sessions will involve fun pool based activities with an water safety message.
Sessions available:
Monday 20th June 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Sunday 26th June 10:00am - 11:00am
Advance booking required, please call reception on 01706 716680 to book.
Sessions are suitable for children aged 8 and over, who are able to comfortably swim 25m.
Water Safety Poster Competition
Design your own water safety poster and be in with a change to win some fantastic prizes! Download the entry form here.
Prizes:
1st place = 6 month free swimming
2nd place = 3 months free swimming
3rd place = 1 month free swimming
Terms and conditions: Entrants must be under 16 years old at time of entry. Entries must be on the official entry form. Management reserves the right to use entries as posters in the leisure centre, on their social media accounts and official website. Prizes can’t be shared by multiple people but the prize may be gifted to another person at the start of the prize period. Prizes are not redemable in cash. Winners will receive an account in their name that entitles the winner to swim for free for the designated time period.
